About the Role
We are looking for an energetic Prep Cook to assist our kitchen chefs by preparing food ingredients. The Prep Cook will wash, peel, slice, trim, chop, and grate fruit and vegetables, and measure, weigh, and mix a wide variety of ingredients.
Responsibilities
Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc.
Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area
Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc.
Store away delivered goods in appropriate location
Label and store food according to restaurant standards
Overseeing food levels and restocking items on time
Removing trash and clearing storage bins
Work closely and communicate clearly with other kitchen members
Skills & Qualifications
Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
Available to work shifts, on public holidays and over weekends
Have reliable transportation
Be able to lift 50 lbs, stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods of time
Pay
$16 - $18 hourly
